The K-12 Student Dashboard is part of the Guyana Digital School LMS, developed in partnership with Jain University and the Ministry of Education, Guyana. The Guyana Digital School (GDS) is an innovative educational initiative designed to provide quality learning experiences to students across the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

For this project, I'm designing the student experience of the LMS dashboard. The goal is to create a functional yet intuitive interface that enables students to easily access coursework, track their progress, and engage with teachers and classmates, making their learning journey more seamless and interactive.

Showcasing individual screens, but the true highlight of this LMS lies in its seamless user flow and highly intuitive navigation. Designed for deep exploration of subjects and their topics, this system ensures a structured and engaging learning experience, which will be demonstrated through the interactive prototype.

The LMS offers automated attendance tracking, assignment submissions, real-time report cards, an interactive notice board, instant notifications, live and recorded lectures, practice quizzes, a digital library, achievement badges, an AI chatbot for assistance, and engaging growth activities to enhance student learning and engagement.

Automates student attendance tracking, allowing teachers to mark presence digitally, generate reports, and track trends over time.

Enables students to submit assignments online, while teachers can review, grade, and provide feedback in an organized manner.

Generates real-time, detailed academic performance reports with subject-wise grades, teacher remarks, and progress analytics.

Displays important announcements, event updates, and administrative notices in a centralized location for students, teachers, and parents.

Gamifies learning by awarding badges &amp; certificates for task completion, participation, and academic milestones to boost motivation.

An intelligent assistant that answers student queries, provides study recommendations, and assists with navigation within the LMS.

A centralized repository of e-books, research papers, and study materials accessible anytime for enhanced learning.

Provides access to live and recorded video lectures, allowing students to attend classes remotely and revisit lessons anytime.

Offers interactive quizzes for self-assessment, helping students reinforce learning and prepare for exams effectively.

This project also includes a parent app and a teacher experience dashboard to enhance the overall learning ecosystem.

Parent App: Allows parents to monitor their child’s progress, track performance, receive updates, and stay engaged with their learning journey.

Teacher Experience Dashboard: Provides educators with an intuitive interface to manage courses, track student progress, assign tasks, and analyze performance data for a more effective teaching experience.

Both components work together to create a seamless and well-connected LMS.

Redesigned Masai’s admission process, reducing onboarding time from 15-20 minutes to 5 minutes, leading to a 70% increase in user retention.

Designed a B2B hiring platform, improving recruiter experience and increasing placement rates by 30%.

Designed and optimized 30+ websites by analyzing user data and implementing data-driven redesigns, resulting in improved conversions.

Maintained Masai’s proprietary Design System (MDS), by creating and managing reusable components, ensuring consistency across digital products.


Onwards is the onboarding experience of Masai School, designed to help new students transition smoothly into their learning journey. As Masai School focuses on outcome-driven education, onboarding plays a crucial role in setting the right expectations and ensuring students are well-admitted to the course.

In this project, I redesigned Masai's onboarding process to make it more intuitive, engaging, and seamless. The goal was to reduce steps, save time by improving clarity, and create a structured yet welcoming experience for new students. By refining the user journey, streamlining key steps, and enhancing the UI/UX, this redesign helps students take the necessary steps to become a part of Masai.

I'm the lead product designer for this project. I collaborated directly with&nbsp;CEO (Prateek Shukla)&nbsp;and&nbsp;Product Manager (Kajal)&nbsp;throughout the project.

Problem 1: Lengthy Navigation and Low Retention

The previous onboarding experience at Masai School involved a long list of questions, many of which were important but not all were essential at the beginning. This made the onboarding process time-consuming and slow, creating friction for new students and increasing drop-off rates.

To streamline the experience without losing critical information, ensuring students felt welcomed and prepared for their learning journey.

Revised Form Placement for Better Experience

Problem 2: Disorganized Dashboard Experience

Once users landed on the dashboard, the primary focus was on taking the admission test. However, the information was scattered, making it difficult to navigate. Additionally, the UI was not intuitive, and the content was spread across three separate pages, increasing cognitive load.

We structured the dashboard layout into three sections, following a 20:60:20 ratio:

The entire experience was structured into three main steps:

Step 1: Webinar Registration –&nbsp;A doubt-solving session with experts, helping users gain clarity and confidence in the course.

Step 2: MSAT (Admission Test) –&nbsp;An introductory video explained the test clearly, ensuring users understood its purpose and process.

Step 3: Onboarding Process –&nbsp;Further divided into five smaller steps, providing users with a clear sense of progress and actionable next steps.

After completing the test, if a user passed, the next steps involved document verification, onboarding to Zoom and Slack. However, these steps were not clearly structured, leading to confusion and inefficiencies in the process.

The redesigned onboarding dashboard for Masai School led to significant improvements in user experience, engagement, and efficiency. By strategically refining the onboarding flow, we achieved measurable results:

The streamlined approach ensures that new students transition smoothly into their learning journey at Masai School.

The onboarding time dropped from 15-20 minutes to just 5 minutes through strategic UX improvements, without losing the product's essence.
